Mike Huckabee remarking about Ted Kennedy's death said, "Passing health care reform in Ted Kennedy's honor 'not only defies good taste, it defies logic,' Mike Huckabee declared yesterday. Adding his own take on Sarah Palin's death panel meme, he said that under Democratic health care proposals, Kennedy would have been told to 'go home to take pain pills and die' as soon as he was diagnosed with brain cancer." Rush Limbaugh has been railing on calling it the Ted Kennedy Bill since Kennedy's last breath. About 60 senators attended the Kennedy funeral, and other than John McCain, Orin Hatch, and Pete Domenici, I didn't see any other Republican faces. Sen. Joe Biden even gave a eulogy at Sen. Strom Thurmond's funeral, probably the most right-wing and racist of any Republican in the Senate. The modern day Republicans seem only to know hate. Even make funerals PARTISAN! John Cornyn's office would give NO COMMENT as to why the Texas Senator could not attend services for Sen. Ted Kennedy. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson supposedly was "too busy" running for governor of Texas, and Poppy and Bar Bush, relaxing an hour north of Boston at Kennebunkport, Maine, felt that Dubya could "represent"! You can bet your sweet bippy that if ANY of these three had died, Sen. Ted Kennedy would have attended their funerals. Partisanship even applies to funerals with the reich-wingers who now "represent" Republicans. Went on www.TedKennedy.org/ last night, the official Kennedy site where one can leave condolences and the TROLLS there were saying such things as "Ted Kennedy's TUMOR did more good for America than did Ted Kennedy."
