The Republicans are trying very hard to make President Obama go down in history as a failure. The Sunday Houston Chronicle had a large layout on the failures of funding NASA, where the U.S. must now play second fiddle to the Russians who are now toying with denying US Astronauts access to the International Space Station (build mostly with US funding). Per usual, the anti-Science Republicans in Congress are underfunding NASA. But current NASA Administrator Charles Bolden says, “Let me be very candid. Republicans don’t like the president. They have stated very clearly that they will oppose anything he puts forward, that they will not allow anything to go forward that gives him credit for anything, and I think that is very unfortunate. But that’s politics. “http://www.houstonchronicle.com/nasa/adrift/1/ Although while watching the Endeavour’s last stop over at Ellington Field, overheard some local Obama haters blaming this president for cancelling the shuttle program when in reality it was George W. Bush in April 2005. http://www.spacedaily.com/news/rocketscience-05o.html
