Why Did Trump Send Jared Instead of Flynn? (and a disturbing thought)

While everyone is debating whether or not it was proper for Trump to establish back-channel communications with Russia, no one is asking why he sent Kushner instead of Flynn? And what if the purpose of the meeting wasn’t to establish a line of communication?
