Master List of Racist Attacks Towards Obama
While Senator McCain defended his supporters at the third presidential debate, accusing some of the recent violent and hate-filled comments shouted at numerous McCain & Palin rallies as coming from "a few fringe elements" that find their way into every public event, examples that the McCain/Palin campaign attracts and even breeds racists attacks against Obama is growing. Here are some examples (with attributing links):

The Master List of Made Up "Scandals" the Media has happily repeated against Obama:
The Rightwing Noise Machine has concocted a new "meme" (an idea with a life of its own) to explain away all the positive press that they perceive the Obama campaign has been receiving: that the "Mainstream Media" (MSM) is showing favoritism towards the Obama campaign vs. the McCain campaign. It began when, after weeks of Senator McCain on numerous campaign stops, making an issue of Senator Obama making policy declarations without having been to Iraq "in over two years" and "has never been to Afghanistan even once." The McCain campaign even had a "ticker" on their website counting the days since Senator Obama last visited those regions. In response, the Obama campaign scheduled a large overseas campaign trip that included Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel/Palestine, and Germany where U.S. troops are stationed. The Obama campaign invited the "Big-3" television networks to accompany him on his trip, to which each network chose to send its lead anchors. The Right-wing punditry began to complain that the networks sending their lead anchors along on Obama's trip was evidence of "Liberal Media Bias". Even the McCain campaign website homepage trumpets a video decrying "Liberal Media Bias" towards the Obama campaign (during the trip, NBC's anchor Brian Williams revealed that the McCain campaign never asked the Big-3 networks to accompany him on any of his recent campaign stops outside of the United States). It is clear to us here at "Mugsy's Rap Sheet" that this meme is designed to perpetuate, not only into the November campaign, but for years to come should Senator Obama win the Presidency, as a means of minimizing his victory, suggesting that his win was more a result of unfair press coverage than popular support for Senator Obama's policies by the majority of the American people. Because of this, we will continue to maintain this companion to our "Official John McCain Flip-Flop & Gaffe Master List": Our MASTER LIST of Made-up Scandals, Falsehoods & Warrantless Attacks levied by the Media against the Obama campaign as a means of countering the inevitable falsehoods that are sure to arise claiming "the Media gave the Obama campaign a free-ride". Note: Mistakes are bound to happen maintaining such a huge list, so on the off-chance you catch the rare error, please let me know immediately. Thanks - Mugsy. Media Report: Evidence of liberal-bias bias - LA Times, July 27, 2008 Cable talking heads accuse broadcast networks of liberal bias -- but a think tank finds that ABC, NBC and CBS were tougher on Barack Obama than on John McCain in recent weeks.
